Awatere Early Learning Centre

Operating since 2013, the Awatere Early Learning Centre is a preschool owned by the community.

There is involvement and strong support from the community for the Centre It caters for children aged 2 to 5 years with a license for up to 30 children. Children from a diverse range of cultures and from rural areas attend the centre in a mixed-age setting.

A Board of Trustees govern the centre with the Centre Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations. Staff are qualified early childhood teachers and there are parent members who volunteer. 

20 Free ECE hours and WINZ subsidies available. 

The centre has good resources and children are well supported with regular communications between parents and teachers.

This centre operates a safe and healthy environment for the children's well being
